Castile Soap can trace its origins back thousands of years, and was brought back to Europe by the Crusaders. Castile Soap was originally popularized in Castile, Spain and beloved by the Queen of Spain. Admirers still consider it the Queen of Soap. Castile soap acts as a humectant, drawing moisture from the air to your skin, and is wonderful to use. The lather is slight, but plentiful.
This timeless and simple recipe is difficult to perfect and takes weeks to cure naturally. At Fourth Century Farms, Castile has always been one of our best sellers. This amazingly delicate soap is a favorite among young and old alike. The bars contains no fragrance of any kind and are the gentlest soaps we make. Each bar contains over 1oz of our grass-fed goat milk as well as olive oil and sodium hydroxide. Each bar weighs approximately 4oz.
Allergy Warning: People with skin allergies should test the soap on a small spot of skin first and stop using if irritation occurs.
